Arrange your own flights to and from New York*. To join the Tour for this Sector you should arrive in New York City on 28 August 2007 and depart from New York City on 29 October 2007.

*Suggested airports: J.F. Kennedy Airport (New York City, New York), Newark Liberty (Newark, New Jersey).

Advise the local co-ordinator of arrival date and time to arrange airport pick up.

Accommodation

Accommodation, where not at a Shanti Mandir ashram will be organised for you by the local co-ordinator. Please contact the local co-ordinator to inform them of your accommodation needs. Either a booking will be made for you as part of group accommodation arrangements, or a list of options will be provided so you can organize you own booking. Payment will be required for all accommodation in the USA.

Road Travel within the Eastern States of America

Road travel in this Sector and transportation to the tour satsangs will be organised for you. Please contact the local coordinator to confirm transportation. Payment for travel/transportation will be required.

Activities

Chicago (IL.) 28 August 2007

Gurudev will make a two day visit to Chicago direct from Toronto before reaching Shanti Mandir in Walden on 30 August. The balance of the Tour will proceed by road direct from Toronto to Walden via Niagara Falls.

Shanti Mandir Ashram at Walden (N.Y) 28 August,2007

The Eastern States Sector will centre on the beautiful Shanti Mandir Ashram at Walden in rural upstate New York. The Walden ashram rests on nearly 300 acres of pristine country including rolling hills, wooded paths, open fields and a 20 acre lake inhabited by native birds.

During September the Tour will visit a number of East Coast cities in surrounding States, as listed above, where public satsangs and other activities will be held.

However, every weekend Gurudev will be in residence in the Ashram in Walden.

Shanti Mandir Ashram at Walden 12 October, 2007 to 25 October, 2007

The Shanti Mandir Ashram at Walden will host a 14 day 'Jayanti Mela', commemorating Baba's 25th Mahasamadhi anniversary. This celebration will include the Shrimad Bhagwad Saptah (a week long recitation), Ashtami Havan (fire ritual on the 8th day of Navatra), Dashhara (the 10th day of Sharad Navatra - victory over Mind & Ego) and the Sant Sammelan (a gathering of saints for satsang).

The Grand Finale of the Jayanti Mela will be held on 25 October 2007, being the 25th anniversary of Baba Muktananda's Mahasamadhi.

The Tour will depart from New York City on 29 October 2007 and arrive in Stockholm Sweden on 30 October 2007.
